About Us
Ralph Marrinson
Chicago native Ralph
Marrinson graduated high school in
Cincinnati, received his bachelor's degree
at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and
completed graduate school at Xavier
University.
A 40-year health care
veteran, Ralph Marrinson has and holds
numerous community positions in addition to
receiving a number of honors for his service
to the community.

Jodi Hemry
Jodi Hemry grew up in
Montana riding horses on her parents' farm.
After receiving her bachelor's degree in
Agricultural Business from Colorado State
University, she decided to pursue her
passion for horses. Jodi moved to
Massachusetts and became a working student
for Torrance Watkins, 1984 Olympic Gold
Medalist. She also worked for Jim
Stamets and ran a boarding facility in
Hamilton, MA for 2 years. From there,
she had an opportunity to work for an
advanced level event trainer in Aiken, SC.
During this time, Jodi met Kim Severson,
2004 Silver Olympic Medalist. Jodi continues
to train with Kim Severson to further her
education riding event horses. While in
Aiken, Jodi was given the opportunity to
ride and compete event horses by Ralph
Marrinson and Marrinson Stables. Jodi
has competed successfully through the
Intermediate Level in eventing and placed in
the top ten at Morven Park CCI* and Poplar
Place Farm CIC* with two of Marrinson
Stable's horses. For more information

Amy H. Boyle
Amy
Boyle grew up riding horses on her Dad’s
farm in Arkansas. In her teens, Amy had the
unique opportunity to ride with Kari Barber,
1988 American Young Rider Gold medalist, and
Ralph Hill. After High School, Amy went to
work for Grand Prix jumper Regan Roberts,
traveling to shows, and managing the horses
and farm at home. In 2003, Amy moved to
Aiken to ride for Daniel Geitner, preparing
horses for sale and show as well as managing
a fitness program for the horses at home. In
2005, Amy decided to become an Amateur rider
and started working for Pine Ridge Stables
as an assistant manager. Amy learned many
skills during her time at PRS from managing
a boarding operation to foaling mares in the
spring. During this time, Amy pursued her
own riding education and academic education
as well. She went back to school full time
completing two yrs of business school. Amy
is currently working towards a Bachelor in
Psychology. Amy started riding with Jodi
Hemry during her time at PRS. In 2008, Amy
qualified on both her horses for the AEC
championships in Training and Novice level
eventing. In 2009, Jodi helped Amy bring her
4 yr old gelding along having a very
successful season with several wins. Amy
joined the Marrinson Stables team in
November of 2009. Amy duties will include
helping Jodi manage the farm and horses.

Kim
Severson
Kim Severson,
as an international competitor and
Olympic Silver Medalist, is one of
the country’s top event riders. Some
of Kim’s career highlights include
winning Blenheim CCI*** in 2001,
winning the USA Team Gold at the
World Equestrian Games in Jerez,
Spain in 2002, winning Rolex
Kentucky CCI**** in 2002, 2004, and
2005, and winning the individual
Silver Medal in the Olympics in
Athens, Greece. In addition to all
of Kim’s accomplishments, she is a
wonderful teacher. Jodi Hemry has
been training with Kim for the past
5 yrs. and credits much of her
success to what she has learned from
Kim. Kim also boards at Marrinson
Stables during the winter months
where she trains and gives lessons.

Saul Curiel
Saul Curiel
grew up in Zacatecas, Mexico working
on cattle ranches taking care of
cattle and learning his way with
horses. He came to the United States
in 1987 and continued to work in
agriculture. He then made his way to
South Carolina and began working in
landscaping. In 2004, Saul came to
work for Marrinson Stables. He
enjoys working with the horses and
keeping the farm in pristine
condition.
